Utopia Global’s latest retail and fashion management software release, resold by SAP as SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) for retail and fashion management (RFM), has now been certified on SAP S/4HANA 1610 and includes integration and functionality to support SAP S/4HANA Retail for merchandise management.
SAP MDG for RFM 9.0 is designed to help retailers maintain accurate master data despite dealing with vast quantities of data, changing regulations and the growing need to interact with complex value chains. Inaccurate master data increases costs and reduces profits. The new release also helps retailers to maximise their investment in SAP S/4 HANA.
Peter Aynsley-Hartwell, chief technology officer, Utopia Global said that the new release marks a significant milestone for the company, certifying its entire software solutions portfolio on SAP S/4HANA 1610.
“Clean, governed and centralised master data is a necessity for retailers interested in driving business insights in real-time, so offering a solution which provides the framework and processes to do that has always been our priority,” said Aynsley-Hartwell.
Retailers’ vast quantities of data are often managed through labour intensive and error-prone manual methods. SAP MDG for RFM provides a more accurate method for retailers to create, manage and retire article data, SKUs and more.
The latest version of the software provides structured, workflow-driven business processes to find, create and change article master data within a single central framework across operations and business intelligence systems in the digital core. The processes support various revision and approval phases and collaboration between all users participating in the management and maintenance of the retailer’s master data.
The new release provides increased support for segmentation of each article by store or distribution centre and vendor-based Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) as well as improvements to the MDG framework. The release also provides increased search capabilities with the SAP HANA platform and supports the entry of long-text freeform characteristics.
