New Zealand-based retailer James Pascoe Group has engaged independent enterprise software support provider Rimini Street for SAP support to reduce costs, improve ROI and enable the retailer to focus on its core business encompassing eight retail brands in 730 retail stores across New Zealand and Australia.
“We have been running a stable on-premise SAP ERP application system across all of our businesses for nearly a decade and were spending a reasonable amount of money with SAP for maintenance and upgrades, but not getting a return for the dollars spent. With the switch to Rimini Street, we immediately saved on our annual support fees,” said David Lean, head of IT, James Pascoe Group.
Lean added that Rimini Street “is helping us optimise our maintenance spend, giving us the opportunity to focus on more innovative programs that will help grow our future retail business.”
Acknowledging that IT leaders are feeling ever more pressure to implement digital transformation to grow their businesses and maximise ROI, Andrew Powell, managing director, Rimini Street APAC and Middle East said, “Organisations like James Pascoe have made the switch to Rimini Street support to free up resources and time to focus on areas of strategic importance that will help differentiate their business from the competition.”
The retailer’s lean IT team welcomed the expertise of the support team they have gained access to by working with Rimini Street. All clients are assigned a primary service engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the applications and technology that they support.
Rimini Street guarantees that organisations can remain on their current software release, without required upgrades, for a minimum of 15 years. The company provides support for customisations as well as tax, legal and regulatory updates.
James Pascoe Group brands include bookstore Whitcoulls, kitchen specialist Stevens, department store chain Farmers Trading Company, jewellery chains Pascoes, Stewart Dawsons, Prouds, Angus & Coote and Goldmark.
