On the Move: New Capgemini ANZ head appointed

Olaf Pietschner, Capgemini Australia and New Zealand

Capgemini Australia and Zealand COO and former Origin Energy chief information officer Olaf Pietschner has been elevated to head of the company’s operations.

Pietschner returned to Capgemini 12 months ago, having previously been principal with the company’s Central Europe branch between 2002 and 2004. His other former roles have included partner at Deloitte in Australia and IT director at News Corporation.

Pietschner succeeds Nicolas Aidoud in the role.

As we move forward into the next phase of our continued transformation and growth, Olaf’s extensive experience in business, technology consulting and digital transformation will strengthen our innovation agenda to address the business ambitions of or clients, aligning our service portfolio with customer demand for both innovation and competitiveness.

According to a statement by the company, since joining Capgemini last year, Pietschner has played a “pivotal role” in its intelligent technology and providing leadership to the energy and utilities, public sector and telecommunications, media and entertainment business units.

“I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead Capgemini in Australia and New Zealand as we continue to build on our momentum for growth. With over 2000 employees working with our clients in the Top 50 ASX listed companies and major public sector organisations, we will continue to leverage our investments in digital and cloud, taking a client-centric approach to drive our clients’ innovation priorities for real business outcomes,” said Pietschner.
