Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a series of computing, storage and networking solutions for SAP applications, including SAP HANA and SAP Leonardo, to enable enterprises to gain insights from massive amounts of data in real-time, improving both their business processes and outcomes.
Building on its 28-year partnership with SAP, HPE’s announcement encompasses four key areas: next-generation architecture for SAP HANA, SAP-certified solutions to increase SAP HANA capabilities, SAP Leonardo solutions to glean Internet of Things (IoT) insights, and Pointnext services to maximise investment and improve business results.
“Businesses need solutions that allow them to manage growing volumes of data in real-time in order to successfully achieve digital transformation,” said Drew Iacone, vice president, global SAP practice and alliance, HPE.
HPE’s new memory-driven computing architecture for SAP HANA is designed to handle the high-level demands of SAP S/4HANA, combining reliability with modular scalability to enable greater insights from big data analytics, keeping pace with business growth.
The company has also extended its on-premise and private cloud solutions for SAP HANA including the largest scale-up configurations at 20TB along with the largest scale-out configurations at 80TB for S/4 HANA. For cloud service providers, HPE is adding HPE Synergy, while enabling new levels of SAP and SAP HANA data protection and recovery by adding a new Enterprise Application Continuity solution. An all-flash storage portfolio for SAP HANA and networking solutions with HPE and Arista round out the SAP HANA enhancements.
In addition, HPE has introduced Edgeline converged edge systems with SAP Leonardo for Edge Computing to enable industrial and manufacturing enterprises to gain new insights from the vast amounts of data generated from industrial devices. The solution provides data centre-class computing power that is tough enough to stand up to harsh industrial IoT environments.
Finally, HPE Pointnext provides enterprises with a range of services to help them attain their business outcomes, including interactive advisory workshops designed to accelerate the time to value of SAP investments and flexible consumption-based pricing models design to enable enterprises to scale capacity up or down as needed.
